| Space for meetings, weddings and wonder. If you're looking for a true mountain setting with the conveniences of a city-based facility - we have the perfect venue option for your meeting, reunion, wedding or other special celebration. Broad Axe Barn Talk about wide-open spaces. The centerpiece of our new meeting and event center, the Broad Axe Barn is a magnificent 2,900 square foot room with a 25-foot high vaulted ceiling and expansive 7 ft. x 10 ft. windows offering breathtaking views of the Continental Divide. Framed by 150-year-old hand-hewn white oak and beech beams, every detail of the barn adds an authentic and rustic touch - from the 30-foot hand stacked stone fireplace to the white oak wood floors. Open the sliding "barn door" and stroll onto a 2,200 square foot deck - the perfect spot from which to enjoy the stunning beauty of Devil's Thumb Ranch. Accommodates up to 140 persons in banquet style seating, and up to 200 people for auditorium style seating. John L.'s Wine Cellar & Uncorking Room Our private dining room named in memory of family members John L. Fanch I and John L. Fanch II has a bit of history behind it. In the 1950's, John L. Fanch I purchased land in the Adirondack State Park in upstate New York with his brother-in-law. Later, the land was passed down to his sons – one of whom is the owner of Devil's Thumb Ranch. To ensure a piece of this family history lived on, original growth cherry trees were harvested from the family's New York land, kiln dried, and shipped to Colorado. The beautiful cherry wine racks and beams surrounding you in this room, as well as the uncorking barrel that you walk through to get there, are made from this family timber. An intimate and elegant setting for both private dinners or meetings for two to 16 persons. Timber House A perfect spot for those seeking a more intimate venue for their event. 150-year-old hand-hewn beams frame this 900-square-foot room. Its windows are nearly all glass, allowing for a 240-degree view of the scenic Ranch Creek Valley and Continental Divide. This room also opens onto our 2,200-square-foot attached outdoor deck. Ideal for weddings and receptions up to 30 persons. Zach's Mercantile and Rental Shop When you're at the Ranch, stop by our full-service retail and rental store for all your equipment needs. Seasonal rental equipment includes show shoes, cross country skis and ice skates in the winter, as well as fly-fishing gear for summertime angling. Our retail shop offers everything from unique outwear to keep you warm in the mountain air, to sundries and snacks, to one-of-a-kind works of art. A warm and inviting place to browse, Zach's Shop is framed by 150-year-old hand hewn beams, finished with hand-stacked stone walls and unique rustic details. Located in the lower level of the Broad Axe Barn. Higher Mines Meeting Room This private meeting room is filled with all of the essential audio-visual bells and whistles. It opens onto our 2,200-square-foot outdoor deck, the perfect place for between meeting breaks. This venue accommodates up to 20 persons in meeting-style seating. Rachel's Pool and Outdoor Jacuzzi Our indoor entry/outdoor pool is named after the "fish" in the family. Pond shaped in order not to distract from the natural outdoor setting, it's a great spot to enjoy the sunny Colorado skies. In the winter, warm your muscles in the nearby outdoor Jacuzzi while you marvel at the snow-capped mountains behind you. Heated by geothermal heat, an environmentally friendly method pulling warmth from the earth, the pool and Jacuzzi are open year-round. Cabin Creek Stables Friendly equines, knowledgeable guides and beautiful country all add up to a unique experience. We offer sleigh and wagon rides, trail rides, riding lessons and even arena work with cattle. |
