What do our cabins in the woods look like on the inside?
The sixteen cabins in the woods at Devil’s Thumb Ranch are nestled in the pines roughly a half mile from our base area on the ridge above Ranch Creek and near one of our fly fishing ponds. Ranging in size from 675 square feet to 2,200 square feet, each has an EPA-rated wood burning fireplace, environmentally friendly geothermally heated floors, and plenty of charm. (The Environmental Protection Agency recognized our environmentally conscious efforts with an award in 2004.)
The furnishings in each cabin are unique, reflecting the colorful history of the Ranch and of raw Colorado itself. From artifacts and blankets in the tradition of the Ute Indians who walked this land, to American oak dining tables and Englemann Spruce logs harvested in Colorado, the furnishings and décor are both authentic and comfortable.
When it's time for dinner, uou can work up an appetite by skiing or snowshoeing in the winter on our lighted trail to Ranch House Restaurant. Or if you would rather relax and enjoy the star-filled sky, take a horse-drawn sleigh or carriage ride there and back. Be sure to relax in on of the two summer time hot tubs located outside near the cabins in the woods. We invite you to virtually tour our cabins in the woods and see the attention to details for yourself. |
